Introducing Revo Prusa Mini Edition

Prusa owners have been upgrading their machines with Revo HotEnds for well over a year now, with thousands of Revo upgraded Prusa’s now in use. It’s fair to say it's a very popular pairing. We’ve loved seeing people test out different nozzle sizes on their Mini’s and we’re so excited to see what you create as we rollout the rest of the Revo ecosystem!

One thing we’ve encountered since releasing our upgrade guide is some users thinking that Revo Micro is a kit specifically designed for the Prusa Mini. In fact, we regularly see Revo Micro being referred to as Revo ‘Mini’.

The same way that we've created a Prusa MK3 specific version of Revo Six called ‘Revo Prusa MK3 Edition’, we were keen to tailor a Revo Micro kit specially for the Mini. With an aim to make the upgrade process even smoother. With that said, we are very pleased to be bringing you ‘Revo Prusa Mini Edition’!

What are the differences between Revo Prusa Mini and Revo Micro?

We’ve added:

• The official E3D mounting bracket, printed in Prusament Jet Black PETG
• Some cable ties
• 2 x square nuts for secure mounting of the printed bracket
• A reworked thermistor extension cable with a Prusa specific connector

We’ve taken out:

• The Micro fan and its cables (the official Prusa Mini fan is used)
• The M12 nut (the Micro threads directly into the Printed bracket)
• The generic thermistor extension cable

Why are users choosing Revo?

Identify nozzles at a glance. Make use of our fancy colour-coded nozzle holders from Printables to add a splash of colour to your Prusa Mini.

Reducing the weight of the toolhead

Swapping to Revo makes your Mini’s toolhead around 25 grams lighter. As the Mini has a cantilevered X-axis, every gram counts!

No more PTFE in the HotEnd

Revo’s all-metal construction means you no longer need to worry about maintaining the PTFE tube or dealing with print quality issues caused by it being incorrectly sized.

How easy is the Revo Prusa Mini Edition upgrade?

Our aim is to make upgrading your printer with E3D parts as simple as possible. We’ve got video and written guides documenting the process. The upgrade should take around an hour of your time. You don’t need to print a bracket, make any firmware changes or do any wire crimping. The fiddliest bit is redoing your wiring loom!
