V6 All-Metal HotEnd

Used a few V6 clones with some success. Decided to treat myself to the real thing ,and, WOW! The difference was immediate and dramatic. If ya printing petg or abs. Accept no compromise and use an original all metal V6. You won't regret it.

There's only an assembly guide available, so no installation guide. We expected it to be plug and play but it wasn't as easy as we hoped as there's no official mount for the ender 3 available. We ended up finding a separate mount from Thingiverse for our Ender 3 Pro 3d printer that we had to print ourselves, After a couple of weeks it clogged, so we tried to heat up the hot-end to 280C to clean it but it ended up melting the plastic PTFE tube guide which rendered it unusable. Eventually we reverted to our stock ender 3 hot-end, the v6 ended up in the bin.

Prints amazing prints but not seemingly designed for use with anycubic mega. I modded my cooler neck for the e3d heat break and block. After this it fits exactly the dimensions of the megas I gave ( I would prefer e3d heatsink but it's far too short (about 1-2cm to short))

With the adjustments made above it runs well on silk pla with retraction of 0.5mm.

If there was a variant of this for anycubic printers I would have got instead but failed to find one. Mod in mind 4 stars is what I'd give. ( I have had 2 x thus far for both my mega pro and mega m printers)

Having already experienced the lack luster performance of the MicroSwiss on my ender 5 pro. I did a bit more research and the conclusive choice kept brining me to E3D. While the price was a bit on the higher side I feel more than happy with the quality of the products I purchased.

I decided if you are going to do anything, be big and bold, your wife can only kill you once. I Picked up the 24V V6 with all the fixing, copper block pt100 ( dont do that ) pt1000, titanium heat break, high temp heater some additional heaters for other projects and a smathering of nozzle X's.

After initially not being satisfied with any printed mount I came across an aluminum mount (klemco) that also facilitated the need for cooling fan placement as they provide stl for fans etc. While I was in the process of fulling rat rigging one of the printers I also swapped out the main board (btt skr v2) and screen (btt tft5 v3), linear rails. dual gear extruder and new red steppers.

After building my custom marlin spin for all the new changed parts I set the config (500) flashed in the firmware and waited for it to heat up, I followed the instructions and tighten it in to 3nm and then let it cool down.

Changed the firmware again to 475 max and re-flashed. The very first print was a retraction tower and right out the gate not a single issue. I can not express how impressed I am with E3D products... now if only they would stock the high temp beds again I would finally get to PAEK land :)

This brought an obscure 2012 model 3D printer back to life in style. Replaced a direct drive with the bowden configuration and a beefy planetary drive. Everything worked great with literally the default settings from Repetier host. The mass is way lower than the old unit and feed rates and shake have both improved significantly. I've only use it with PLA, but I look forward to putting a roll of ABS and probably try glass filled nylon (with a hard nozzle) when I find the excuse. It's very well made (I've done my fair share of high end CNC, I know) and the results are proof of that.
